Bristol identifies clean air zone charging options

8 August 2017 – Council leaders of Bristol (UK) are set to approve the next step towards charging vehicles coming into the city. Four options for Clean Air Zones (CAZ) have been identified. Bristol has long suffered from poor air quality, particularly from high levels of nitrogen dioxide, with an Air Quality Management Area declared in 2001, which identified a large area of urban Bristol with about 100,000 residents where levels breached UK and European legal standards.
