Fisheries subsidies rise 23%, but India feels it won't be an issue

05.11.2018 – India’s fishery subsidies increased by 23% compared to 2017. The vast majority of the subsidies was doled out by Indian states. This includes a sales tax rebate on diesel, financial assistance during a fishing ban, and assistance for purchase of new nets and boats, life-saving jackets and navigation system.
