Experts in Germany argue that a higher carbon price will not be the only determinant of the Klimapaket success

28 October 2019: Experts from adelphi, Climate Focus, and Perspectives Climate Group, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Security have studied a number of elements that are potentially relevant when designing and implementing carbon pricing approaches. When it comes to the German system, they posit that apart from the low carbon price (€10/ton per CO2) more concrete and systematic plans to visibly return revenue to the population are still necessary.
