Change Makers Leap Forward as Momentum for Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform Grows

1 May 2017 – The fifth high-level event on fossil fuel subsidy reform, organized by the Friends of Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform (FFFSR), Global Subsidies Initiative and the World Bank took place in Washington, D.C. on 21 April. Representatives from developed and developing countries shared their experiences with implementing fossil fuel subsidy reforms, with speakers from Armenia, the Philippines, New Zealand and Mexico stressing the importance of bringing the discussion of fossil fuel subsidy reform forward to a broader public.
