OECD-IEA inventory of fossil fuels and other support

The OECD-IEA Inventory of Support Measures for Fossil Fuels  provides updated fossil fuel support data for 34 OECD member countries and six partner countries, including a number of measures applied by sub-national jurisdictions. The online database includes IEA estimates of energy consumption subsidies. The database is available on the OECD website.
The 2015 OECD Companion to the Inventory of Support Measures for Fossil Fuels complements the online database, deriving summary results and indicators on support to fossil fuels, as well as policy recommendations. The report emphasizes problems caused by fossil fuel subsidies, reviews reform initiatives underway at the international level (G-20, APEC, etc.), presents the coverage, method and data sources used for developing the online database, and  discusses caveats and data interpretation issues. The report is available to download on the OECD iLibrary.
