Green Recovery for Practitioners: Examples from around the world for building forward better (GIZ)

Looking at how communities, cities and countries have put the idea of a green recovery into practice, this new report presents a compilation of 23 examples from more than 20 countries worldwide.

By showcasing measures and instruments that have been deployed particularly in developing and emerging economies and by highlighting different approaches and lessons learned, it seeks to inspire the practical implementation of a green recovery. The report is the second publication in the three-part series Green Recovery for Practitioners, which is developed in contribution to the NDC Partnership’s Economic Advisory Initiative. The first part provides a practical framework for a green recovery and the third part will focus on fiscal approaches for a green recovery.

The series is developed in a joint effort by the EU-funded EUROCLIMA+ programme, the BMU-funded IKI Support Project for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement (SPA) and IKI Support Project for the Design and Implementation of the New Global Biodiversity Framework (BioFrame), the Low Emission Development Strategies Global Partnership (LEDS GP) and E3G.
