The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Peru are organizing the International Green Finance Forum to promote the mobilization of financial resources towards the implementation of activities that contribute to the transition to a more sustainable economy.
The first day of the Forum will present the importance of green finance in international frameworks for a sustainable economy and will explore the latest trends in green finance in Latin America. The second day will show how public and private actors can boost the supply and demand of green financial products to achieve a fair transition. In addition, it will highlight the role of financial systems and development banks as agents of change for a sustainable economy. The third day will promote the exchange of good practices that generate an impact on society through green finance, with testimonies from companies and investors and a session dedicated to reflection on the path towards COP 16 on Biodiversity.
The objective of the forum is to identify key governance for the development and acceleration of green finance. The participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, leverage lessons learned and share tools and practices to facilitate scaling and replicability at national and international levels.
GFPN alongside our partners, GIZ, are thrilled to be supporting the initiatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Peru and their seminar series on green finance.
