Public Forum 2018 — “Trade 2030”

This year’s WTO Public Forum will consider what sustainable trade will look like in 2030 and beyond. Under the main theme of “Trade 2030”, the Public Forum’s sub-themes will be sustainable trade, technology-enabled trade, and a more inclusive trading system. Working Sessions will cover a number of issues including green fiscal reform:
  • A working session on ‘Caught in a net – Untangling fisheries subsidies and sustainable development’ organised by Pacific Network on Globalisation; National Platform for Small Scale Fishworkers (Inland) will take place on 2 October 2018 from 11:30-13:00 (CET).
  • A working session on ‘The role of Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform towards achieving Agenda 2030’s sustainable objectives and its impact on trade’ organised by the Friends of Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform will take place on 2 October from 14:00-15:30 (CET).
