18th Global Conference on Environmental Taxation (GCET18)
September 27 - September 29
The Global Conference on Environmental Taxation (GCET) has been held every year since 2000, bringing together specialists from around the world and providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and research findings on environmental taxation and other market-based instruments. GCET18 is hosted by the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and will focus on Innovation Addressing Climate Change Challenges: Local and Global Perspectives.
Topics to be explored at the conference include:
- Climate change policy, biodiversity protection, environmental stewardship, pollution control, water conservation, land degradation, renewable energy, mining and rehabilitation.
- Market instruments such as carbon pricing, emissions trading schemes, other environmental taxes, subsidies, direct action or spending programs and tax concessions both positive and perverse.
The deadline for submitting abstracts in response to the Call for Papers is 1 May 2017. Selected papers from the Global Conferences are published in Critical Issues in Environmental Taxation.
